which is said to be one of the most picturesque places in Europe. Paleokastritsa has six secluded beaches and is famous for its crystal clear water, cliffs and bays of the coastline. The highlight here is the Byzantine Monastery, which was founded in 1225. The current buildings date from the 18th century. It is a great place either for a lazy beach holiday, hiking, excursions and any kind of water sport.
